Not sure about this one, but I read a review that said please email me for further info and thought that was not only bad practice but potentially dangerous. There are nutters out there. What is the rule on Dooyoo for having private email addresses in a consumer review ?

Dunno you can have your email address in your profile though so I don't think nutter wise it matters.

Not convinced Dave. Still see it as potentially dangerous to put that in a consumer review.

Dunno, just doesn't sit right with me to have it in a consumer review.

I think it's up to the individual whether they wish to advertise their email address in a consumer review.

I wouldn't like to think of DooYoo going down the same road as Ciao and start getting heavy handed about what URLS / Email addresses should and shouldn't be allowed in a member's review or profile.

No but by the same token I will still rate them down as I think it's a cop out in review writing to say "well can't be arsed to write a full review but if you want my email address here it is"

Sorry I've completely mis-understood what you were saying. I thought you were making a point about putting a contact email address into a review as a way of offering further assistance to the reader, not as a way of getting around writing a proper review.

If it's a half-arsed review then it's a half-arsed review whether there is an email address in it or not.
