| Who thinks ciao should go back to monthly comps. We asked this on the old forum but it would be interesting to know members views. | |

| How about, see how long you can go before you are blocked? everyone can play and the person who gets kicked off first wins. | |

| I think the Ciao competitions are best left in the past.
The month I won there were only four entries - compare that to the times the category was films or books and there were dozens if not hundreds of entries.
Not that I'm complaining, twas the easiest diamond and £20 I ever made!

| But at least there was a prize and an incentive for people to write reviews. | |

| The competitions were all before my time on Ciao, but I have heard many great things about them and would love to see a return....as Rachel said it would give people a little incentive to write better reviews! x | |

| I agree about the incentive, and also you were more likely to get your prize. No sign of my book vouchers yet. | |

| I remember when Ciao and I were friends and I suggested this as a way to encourage active posting. I came up with the idea of "Special Events Coordinator" and enjoyed it for over a year despite people threatening me with death etc when they did not win the competitions.
They were well active then with hundreds of entries and we had some great times with some very good competition, but like everything, when Ciao downsized their staff, no one seemed interested and we parted company.
Now, they tend to give them to people for all the worng reasons and I do not blame people for getting pissed off with them .
