I thought Id see what some members thought about the competitions.
Unfortunately comps had stopped before I joined, but Id love to see them back, it would be such a good way for Ciao to keep some of the unpopular subjects well stocked with reviews.
And with the cash incentive I wouldnt mind having a go! What do you guys think?

They suck since the original special events coordinator left.
Try sites like www.thebookbag.co.uk where they have monthly competitions with a good chance of winning something (one in 20 or so)
The last winner was a cracking writer who likes to dress in tights and entertain small children.
He will be released in 3-5 years if he is good.

Ciao have said that the competitions will be back but in a different format. I am still waiting for news on it, as they would not say more than that.

I know they werent used for that previously but it would be a good way, I think anyway. I've seen a few subjects that havent been covered yet. Just an idea I suppose.
