| Does anyone see a difference in the way their reviews are perceived, the ratings they are given and the reads they receive between the sites? My reviews seem to get a better reception on dooyoo than ciao ratings wise perhaps dues to the difference in layout or perhaps due to an inherent popularity factor on ciao? I certainly think that the same reviews a few years ago would have received higher ratings than they do now. I like this fact as people are probably being more honest with me now I am not so community active but I would be interested to know what others think. | |

| I agree that some people tend to rate more honestly these days and i also think it refelcets on your community activity.
If more people realised that a U rating or an H rating is a breath of fresh air for a writer inamongst 50 non-read Vh/VU then I think people would appreciate getting a VU/VH more.

| I find Ciao are much more strict with their ratings then dooyoo, but as you point out, I am also much more active on dooyoo than ciao so that may be why! | |

| I think that dooyoo ratings are more serious than ciao ones. People tend to read the reviews properly more as well. Sure, some are skimmed and they make themselves known by commenting in an inappropriate way, but all in all, I would definitely say that dooyoo is a more serious site, and encourages better writing as well as better rating. | |

| Same review, same person rating it, on Ciao it got an E and on Dooyoo a U.
I used to pay attention to their comments as I thought they added value now I'm not so sure.

| They rated the review at the same time or a while apart? | |

There would always be a gap of a few days as I usually post first on Dooyoo and then a few days later on Ciao.

Not that it should amke any difference really, but they may have skimmed through it on Ciao and then read it thorughly on Dooyoo.
Not sure I can answer that one.

I used to pay attention to their comments as I thought they added value now I'm not so sure. Someone gave YOU an E, are you talking about the tablets maybe ... |

| There is actually a very logical answer here but none of you saw it. An H on dooyoo is about the equivalent of an E on ciao. Could just be change of atmosphere. | |

| I would give someone an E on Ciao and a U on Dooyoo as I like winding people up on Ciao where as I am more myself on Dooyoo. Not that I am on Ciao these days of course. | |

| I often get massive discrepancies between ratings on ciao and dooyoo. A crowned review on dooyoo can get H's on ciao and vice versa. Makes you wonder whether anyone actually reads the damn things! | |

| I can't say how much better the ratings are on one site or the other really as most are consistent, although they merit better on dooyooo because a lot of reviews are ones that I switched from ciao and edited to be better. I almost feel these days that ciao is my practice ground for dooyoo ! | |
