What about Robert De Niro in 'Meet The Fockers? I really like the bloke, but in that film he was just not suited to it. Lisa x

I saw the first film and it was sooooo bad it was untrue. Lame American dumb slapstick rubbish...still thats Ben Stiller for you!

Cause I do! I don't like the roles he does, and feel that he only goes for the senstionalist ones. I really don't rate him as an actor either.

The sensationlist thing is true, I grudgingly admit. And he is moving away from the easy-to-watch style that he had in Big, among other films. Sigh...

The problem is (for me) is that he just doesnt have the presence to carry off the roles he gets. And again, I just don't like him!

I never fully believe he is the character he is playing rather than just Tom Hanks again.

Have you seen 'The da Vinci Code'? - he didn't carry that off very well at all. I always think that about Nicole Kidman - whenever I see her acting, I think 'that's not a character, that's just Kidman pretending to be someone'.
