| Had a private message in my guestbook
Hi Sarah, hope you're well. I'm wondering if you could maybe rate a few of my reviews if you get the chance? I've rated all your new ones over the last 2 weeks or so and they've all been good. Take care and all the best to you. x
what would you guys do. i did have a look and read som revies that intersted me but a lot of the reviws were more technical stuff which I am not known for reading (I'm not that intersted as I am not techie type person)
I wrote back saying. have read some but explained why I have not rwad all of them.

| That should be enough, you've been honest and to be honest I don't know how they have the cheek to ask in the first place! | |

| I wouldn't have read any, but sent a note back to ssay thank you for drawing your attention, and if you see any subjects that interest you in the future, then you will certainly read them. | |

| With me, I suppose it would matter if it were an old an established member that should know better or a newbie trying to earn a few pennies. I have been asked for reads on numerous occasions and usually read according to how many they read on the site rather than any other criteria. If they have read no one, I tell them in PGB that the way to get reads is not to ask for them, but to read and participate. | |

| I really don't like to see that happen, although I can accept people notifying others, presumably those who are established beyond the mutual trust about reviews.
I mean I don't want to be made to read something I'm not interested in, am I supposed to feel bad when I don't? It's a no go zone in my book.
What I would do about the situation is leave it I guess.

| This practise is happening fairly often now and not only from the new members by any means. Just send a polite message back to say you have read those reviews that interest you and they should be aware that touting for reads is against the terms and conditions. | |

| If i was "invited" to read someones work I would be put off straight away. I don't have much time on here these days and tend to only read the stuff that i am interested in or writers that i know i enjoy. I'm sure established members understand the time constraints many of us have and accept this.
I think asking someone to read a review just for the sake of it is a bit of a cheek.
PS my latest review is a craker can you all please take a look. (joke)

| Recently I have had a fair share of newbies private message me and beg me for reads and their trust. What I tend to do is read a couple of their reviews, and as someone said point out nicely that it's always important to read/rate other peoples reviews. Lisa x | |
