| I wondered if any of the guides have time on their hands or members for that matter, whether they could write out a dummies guide for people for proposals, and general functions of the site, so they have somewhere to refer to. We have many members that are relatively new to dooyoo and it may help them to understand the procedures. If you find you have time, open a thread and give it an appropriate title so they are easily found. | |

| From the My Account Page, Select Suggestions Menu on the Left Hand side. Select “Make a Suggestion” A page appears that is split in two areas – "Track My Suggestions", and "Make A Suggestion". Scroll down to the Make A Suggestion area 1. Enter the Product name, between five and fifty characters. Pay attention to proper capitalisation and spelling. 2. Scroll through the categories and place the product in the correct category. If you cannot see the correct category, refer to the guide for that particular area (or any guide) for assistance 3. Find an appropriate website, e.g. the manufacturers website and include the link, as shown on the Suggestion page, including the protocol, server and trailing link e.g. http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/4. Look for an image for the product on the internet. A tip is to use Amazon.xo.uk for items such as CDs and books that are sold there. Right click the image on the internet, and select properties. A box will appear, select the address or url of the image in question, in full (e.g. http://img.dooyoo.co.uk/GB_EN/yoo3/header2006/product_6.jpg), and copy and paste this into the correct box. 5. Press Submit. The item will be numbered in a queue and appear in the track suggestions box. When the product has been added to the database, you can come back here and click the link to add the review. NOTE That it is a Suggestion and Dooyoo have the right to refuse any suggestion they do not deem suitable for their database. Some products e.g. elctronics are also auto populated with new products automatically and it may not be possible to add suggestions to these

| I think the only thing not mentioned which is important is that BEFORE SUGGESTING ANYTHING, to search to see if the category exists. I find the easiest way of doing this is to go into googlem type the name of the product and dooyoo uk after it, and usually if it is on the database, you will find the category. THEN if the category is not there, SUGGEST AS EXPLAINED ABOVE. | |

| There shouldn't be any need for duplication as the article is public, Rachel. Plus, it's easier for people to click the link and read the article than it is for me to cross post. | |

| It would be pointless for Aaron to duplicate that, Rachel, it's a link.... I was lazy earlier by not doing all the pretty screen prints off Dooyoo for my contribution.. | |

| I was kidding Helen. We are all working towards the same aim and thats more important than nit picking. Any improvement to site activity through dummie guides is welcome and will be valuable to members. | |

You will have to be one of the dummies that I guide. Given that I'm reading the book about Join Me by Danny Wallace at the moment I feel in the mood to start a collective of dummies. | |
