STUPID CIAO TEAM

I am not being hypocritical. No I am not a member, but I care about the members that come here to the site. The question I asked was every bit as relevant as the one you asked if your hypothesis is to be accepted as to why you asked it.

Okay, you say you butted in on this thread because you were sick of hearing the member whinge about being a member of a site that doesn't pay him. Totally off topic. Questioning his membership. I did the same to you to show you how inappropriate it was but by your logic, it's perfectly alright to do it if indeed I am as sick of hearing you winge as you are of hearing him winge. If you were my friend, and I saw all the negative postings you make about a site like ciao I would question why you bothered staying on the site. Nothing deeper than that. You asked me to explain, so I have.

I'm not questioning his membership, per se. I'm suggesting he makes a decision. Either he's a member who joins in with no thought of getting paid, in which case, continue or he writes material to get paid, in which case Ciao is not the place for him and he'd be better forgetting his old material or over-writing it with nonsense so that Ciao will delete it.

I'm suggesting that it's stupid/illogical to continue to post new material to a site and still complain about a lack of payment. If djohan wants to fight Ciao for his payment, then continuing to post new work is rather a naive thing to do.

And the original post isn't off-topic because it deals with the submission of new work, albeit to a site where djohan cannot get paid, leading on to the other point about the complaints. If I'd posted this to his other thread where he does mention lack of payment, you'd say it was off-topic because I was talking about new submissions.

Let's just agree to differ in our approach. I and other members who haven't posted found your posting to be insulting. Let's move on.

Please don't trot out the anonymous "other members who haven't posted". You found it insulting. I thought it was an appropriate reply to a smart ass comment.

I think it was unkind to call him a name like that in response to a comment he left about your post. Everyone complains about things and this site is a place to do that, but there is no need to put someone down just because you don't agree with their logic.

I'm not sure that you can do it, but you could write to ciao and ask them.

Try finding a UK charity you want to support. Visit their website. With any luck, you'll find all the information you need to donate - an account number and sort code. if not, contact them and explain that you want to donate by bank transfer and ask for those details, then plug them into your Ciao account as 'your' account details. I can't see why that wouldn't work.

If it doesn't, then contacting Ciao may be your only other option.

Hey, Dhojan - if you can get Aaron's bank details I'm sure some of the crazy Nigerian princesses who keep asking for 'bank accounts to clear their deposed fathers' millions in stolen loot' would find the info very useful.
