| Never noticed so many copiers on dooyoo as there are at the present moment. This is over the last fortnight. Loads of them. Hope this is not going to become a trend. Do you know what to do when you find a copier and how to report it and bring it to the attention of dooyoo ? My suggestion would be to tell the guide for that area. | |

| I've seen quite a few and think there is no point. i hate plagurism and when people just transfer reviews from ciao to dooyoo (someone copied my review from dooyoo over to ciao). They'll get caught but i suppose they some think they will earn more money than is true so they think they can write and run.
I feel guilty transfering reviews to ciao and not reading! Yet alone plagurism

| copying really gets my back up and I always just email dooyoo with the user's name andwhat they are doing. I was emailed back on the last one to say thanks and that they will remove it.
I always worry a little though that they may have been the original author from where they copied it from!

| Yeh we have had this happen on ciao. Best way is to do all the checking you can by user name etc. and leave a message saying that perhaps you are the original author and would appreciate clarification. | |

| Often you find that copiers do not do a lot of rating themsleves merely cut and paste which is usually a give away.
I have different user names on Ciao and Dooyoo but so far have had no problem.

| So, are you allowed to copy your reviews from ciao to dooyoo? I'm new to this - it's probably best doing it under the same user name, right? | |

| of course you can,its your work. If you don't use the same name in both places its best to declare the fact to avoid being accused of copying. | |

Many of us use both sites, but I tend to edit mine a little before changing them over to the other site.

| Not strictly speaking copying but I wonder if it would be useful to have a thread that keeps up to date the current thinking of posting a review in several places. I have seen the heated exchange about this on the Epinions pages where they are considering a ban on re-publishing from competitors pages. I have just written a music review: how do each of CIAO, Epinions, Amazon and dooyoo think and react if I add it simultaneously (and under the same name) to all four sites?
I would have thought that CIAO and Epinions were mutually exclusive whereas CIAO and dooyoo service more or less the same clientelle. Amazon is extending its product range significantly.
NB: I started my career on Epinions and then migrated to CIAO where I currently post - I gave up on dooyoo three years ago!

| I think it is your decision to post the work wherever you want and if the site will not allow it, you have a simple choice to make. | |

Perhaps you should give dooyoo a fresh look. I usually edit my review from ciao over to dooyoo but that is my choice. Dooyoo pay very well at the moment and is quite active compared with a year or so ago.

Trouble is, on Dooyoo you post and run and it gets to people after a while and they tend to avoid your work, which is a shame as you write well. You have posted some 50 odd reviews on Dooyoo but only rated 250 so that is 5 rates per 30 or so you get yourself. maybe if you were to reciprocate some of the peoples time then you would enjoy Dooyoo a lot more.

| I would actually agree with that. Since rating evenly, my enjoyment is a lot more. | |
