D Debs, you are worse than me, that would be I have surely? Masterblaster, I did not nomiante you and question those that did. Crowns seem to be given out willy nilly at the moment and that includes the one I just got!

| I have to agree here, but not about the particular review, as I am not familiar with it. I wrote a super one this week that gave it my all, and another that explained a place. I think out of the two, the software one was by far the most helpful, (not begging for reads either so forget that) but was disappointed because the one that merited it didn't get it. That happened to me on ciao as well. I suppose we have to accept that what is useful to some is not useful to others, and take nominations very seriously. | |

| There is no black and white with crowns.
If you write a masterpiece, and someone wrote a better masterpiece that you, you might not get crowned, if you wrote them in a crap masterpiece week, you might.
It's like the talent show at Butlins...if you write consistently well, you will get rewarded reasonably well though, unlike on Ciao.
Crowns are easy enough to get on Dooyoo, for established writers (who know what consumer writing means!!!) so what goes around comes around.

Hah! You know I would write a music review for you, but I'm currently transcribing a granny's MS on the computer and that's the only writing I'll be doing for now. Culmination point is nearing, though! Phew.

| Manuscript written on a typewriter, what else.
And it's really irritating too: It's half memoirs and 2/3 religious Jehova's Witness propaganda. There are just so many tens of pages I can palate writing about these things over and over and over and over and never really getting anywhere. Thank goodness it's soon going to be over!

| But it makes perfect sense: The book consists about 2/3 of religious banter. It also contains subjects of how life has been from the 1890s to the present day, hence it is a memoirs. The religious and memoirs type writing is intermingled with each other, therefore it is half memoirs. Then it contains transcriptions of radio programs, plays and stuff some preachers have said in the past along with lengthy bible quotations, which is not memoirs stuff but outright propaganda, hence it outweighs pure memoirs stuff that contains religious banter but also non-religious banter. So, half is memoirs (non-religious as well as religious) 2/3 is religious stuff (religious memoirs and non-memoirs subjects) See, Dave, you're just not thinking in the proper 50/60 mindset. | |

| It is strange sometimes how you get a crown or Diamond for something, but a review you feel really warranted it, gets nothing. Think I've already read what you're talking about Rachel, and I found the place really interesting. | |
