| Okay the next thing we need to do is suggest venues and get together with Sam to get this whole thing rolling. | |

| Would like to join too (if Germans are welcome and of course depending on the date - planning to travel to London in spring anyways so maybe I could synchronize my travel with the meet) | |

| Yes, apparently down to me (and Rach too) I know London very well so I'm up for offers. If people could let me know around which end of London people will want to meet (ie; North or South,) it might be easier if I also figure out who is coming by car and who is coming by public transport. | |

| Okay so that's what nine of us so far? I really would like to get an idea of what's easiest for everyone. I'm coming up from the South Coast and driving so the out skirts of London would be good but probably only for me. That congestion charge is spreading right out as far as Notting Hill and Sheperds Bush so, that's something We'll have to bear in mind for drivers.... | |

| Before picking a venue I suggest that we first find a date. Talking about myself, I need to arrange for flights, accommodation etc. The location is sort of secondary to me. | |

| How about somewhere Central, which can be accessed by public transport? Congestion charges don't apply at the weekend (am assuming we are planning to meet at the weekend) and am pretty sure there is a couple of extortionatley priced NCPs in the area.
If we are looking at End April/Beg May most dates are fine for me except perhaps 21st April.
5th May is a bank holiday weekend

| Yeh I think we are looking at a time band like that but will clarify after I have spoken to Sam. Yes, for me it would have to be a weekend too and Central London would be fine as I know my way around ok. | |

| There's a nice pub in Notting Hill where Claire once had the dubious pleasure of meeting me and had to bring Kate for backup. Fairly well connected (as well as my lack of London experience can say) and a few decent-ish hotels about. | |

| I used to live in Notting Hill. Loved that area, though it has probably changed by now. Have just spoken to Sam about narrowing it down to a choice of two weekend dates for members to vote on. | |

| The place Liz used for the last Ciao meet was excellent - near to Covent Garden. I think it was the Pitcher and Piano. They let us have a private area for several hours. | |

| 7th April has been the date most agreed on so far. Is this date suitable for anyone ? | |

| I talked to Sam who has been talking in messages with other members and said she would post here, and she said the most popular date so far is the 7th April. I said it would be good to have a couple of alternatives, though she seems quite set on that date at the moment, and I posted in an attempt to see how it suited members. | |

| Well, it's highly unlikely that Belfast meet is taking place, so I could attend, but the start of May would suit me better. I have 500 PMs to back me up, too. | |

| Isn't that Easter Saturday?
Yes I know it's a multi-cultural society but I think it's still likely to have an impact on transport prices and hotel availability for anyone travelling any distance.
I think you'll restrict the attendees who have kids or like to visit relatives (not me in either case). The Ciao London meet was badly effected by being on the hallowween weekend at the end of half term - that stopped lots of parents attending.
