Me too - although I'll stress that what my friend feels is shame and not embarrassment. Although, of course, it is embarrassing to get up six or seven times in the course of a meal, my friend is ashamed of his OCD because he thinks it reflects poorly on his mental stability. He's ashamed of it because people make judgements as to what sort of person he is - if he is mentally 'defective' in some way that has led to this 'abnormality'. If it isn't shame, then it's something so close to it that makes no odds.
